An employee of a check cashing store arrives at work in the morning and is confronted by two masked males wearing gloves and wielding guns. The store was robbed. The only evidence left behind was a rope that had granted the perpetrators access to the interior of the store through the roof.
The rope was swabbed but no DNA profiles were obtained. The rope was sent to DNA Labs International for M-Vac™ sampling. The rope was coiled and the entire rope was sampled.
The collection yielded a mixture of at least four individuals with a major DNA profile that was sufficient for comparison purposes and CODIS entry.
