The use of the M-Vac™ on 20-year-old evidence was a key element that prompted the release of wrongfully convicted Chris Tapp, which in turn prompted the successful search for the real killer in the Angie Dodge murder case. At the time they apprehended Brian Leigh Dripps, the actual killer, KUTV2 in Utah picked up the story and highlighted the M-Vac™. They interviewed forensics specialist Francine Bardole, who performed the M-Vac™ work and explained its role in the case.
