Greg Hampikian Interview

Jared Bradley and Greg Hampikian, PhD, of the Idaho Innocence Project, recently had a fascinating conversation on All Things Crime. One thing they discussed was probabilistic genotyping. We at M-Vac^™ Systems have occasionally heard the puzzling complaint that our machine retrieves "too much" DNA. Listen to Greg and Jared's explanation of why that isn't a big concern with the latest methods of analyzing the DNA.

Another interesting part of their conversation was about how scientists have an obligation to contribute something that fills a gap in the world's body of knowledge or application. Their general treatment of the subject also gives a specific nod to how the M-Vac^™ filled one of those gaps.
