Evidence Technology Magazine Highlights the M-Vac

The M-Vac is a wet vacuum sampling system that demonstrated superior DNA collection capabilities compared to other sampling techniques in a recent validation by Sorenson Forensics in Salt Lake City, UT.  As sampling is the first step in a series of events that lead to a DNA profile, it's critical that investigators use the best sampling tool for their circumstances.  Regardless of how efficient/advanced DNA detection technology is, if sampling fails to collect sufficient DNA there will never be a profile generated.  As this article describes, the M-Vac was able to collect more DNA than other methods in nearly every situation tested.  The DNA recovered by the M-Vac was of very high quality and lead to perfect genetic profiles.  Click here to read more...
